UNFCCC Climate Dialogues
This December, I was delighted to have the opportunity to work as part of an international team to deliver graphic recording for the UNFCCC Climate Dialogues. This event was held as an online check-in on international progress on climate action, in place of the COP26, which was due to be held in Glasgow but had been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I worked on the Ocean Dialogue sessions over two days and captured the visual summaries above. In recent years, scientists have discovered and highlighted the importance of the ocean in climate change adaptation and mitigation. We are at the beginning of the UN Decade of Ocean Science, and the beginning of interagency and intergovernmental cooperation to take action for the good of the oceans. I dedicated this piece to Ireland’s most beloved sea creature - Fungie the dolphin.
