Cruinniú na nÓg at Fernhill Park in Dublin

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown county council got me on board to do some graphic recording with a twist at their Cruinniú na nÓg event in the beautiful new Fernhill Park. Cruinniú na nÓg is a national festival of creativity for kids - what a super initiative! There were lots of fun interactive activities going on in the park as you can see on the illustrated map I created (I wish I got to see the Dinosaurs!).
Part of my job was to gather feedback from the children about what was their favourite part of the festival. I provided paper cut-outs of families and the kids could colour in their own family and then use one of the speech bubbles to write about their favourite activity. I also invited the children to vote for their favourite activity on my graphic recording map using smiley face stickers. Some kids got carried away with the smiley faces so the results may well be skewed! Great vibes in the park, the rain stayed away and the food on offer was lovely. Oh and Minister for Culture Josepha Madigan helped me out with some colouring would ya believe it!
